EXPERT THEMATIC CONFERENCE

SAFETY IN TRANSPORT

has been on April 1, 2009  in hall No.4 of the Belgrade Fair

An international  thematic scientific expert conference organized  jointly by the Association of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers of Serbia and the Belgrade Fair at the 47th International Motor Show under the following title:

„Road Transport and Safety in Transport with Special Attention to the Serbian Region’’

It is a great pleasure for us to have the opportunity to hear views European experts as well as the experts from Serbia, who were present in their works views and ideas in the aim of advancing the safety  in transport from the aspect of the impact of vehicles, roads, legal and technical regulations, which will contribute to the clarification of the following basic questions:

1. The latest technical solutions on vehicles and the directions of their further development from the aspect of impact on the safety in transport and intelligent transport systems

2.    Intelligent transport systems from the aspect of safety in transport

* Experience in the implementation and funtioning in foreign countries

3.    State and directions of development of the international regulations for road vehicles

* their implementation in  legislation and implementation in Serbia

4.    State and directions of development of transport infrastructure in Serbia

analysis of safety in transport, development and functioning of intelligent transport systems in Serbia

This is the framework of the themes which were be covered by works of authors and discussions at the conference. This subject is very current and significant primarily for the people living in Serbia, and then also in the sense of creating conditions for the accession of Serbia to the European Union, the subject is also current for the region, and thereby also for EU. It is also very current in consideration of the transition of the Serbian automotive industry which is underway and in the case of passenger vehicles directed towards FIAT. We expect therefore that the presentation of ideas and suggestions will create a basis for the definition of the right measures and decisions by the current trade and political structures with the potential of making strategic decisions on the level of legislation, transport infrastructure and automotive industry of Serbia, aimed at above all  at saving the  life and health of people. Also, we wish to contribute with this thematic conference to the creation of awareness of people about the potential consequences of road accidents, to stimulate the competent state authorities to take over  full responsibility for improving safety in transport and in combination with the latest design and engineering skills in the automotive industry it is certain that we will make a significant advancement in this field. We wish to get acquainted with the modern technological solutions on vehicles at this conference at the 47 th International Motor Show, organized by the Association of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers of Serbia and the Belgrade Fair, but we wish at the same time that such solutions will not only find their implementation in expensive, luxuirous vehicles, but that they will instead be present in all vehicles.

By common appearance of BG Fair and Serbian Business Association of Road Vehicle Manufacturers at International Commercial Vehicles Automotive Show „BEOTRUCK 08“,  a thematic conference of international character is being organized with a topic „ROAD TRANSPORT AND AIR POLLUTION FROM VEHICLES“. The topic will be elaborated on the high level through the announced representation of papers by their authors:

The condition of vehicles in Serbia and influence on air pollution – D.Sc. Radivoje Pešić, a full professor at Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Kragujevac,
